Michael Foster & Ben Bennett have been performing as a duo for over 5 years, frequently touring the US and Canada. Their work draws parallels to the saxophone and drums free jazz tradition while stretching it well beyond its normal framework to include elements of performance art, noise, silence, and pranksterism. In their performances the traditional instrumental roles are often traded, manipulated and radically deconstructed. In addition to their work as a duo, Foster and Bennett also perform in a quartet with bassist Brandon Lopez and trumpeter Nate Wooley.
